Did you update from Tos7 Beta?
NO, Install tos6 to update TOS 7.0.0746

From what I understand, I should take the NAS and set the BIOS boot priority to the specific drive containing TOS 7. Otherwise, I don't understand why the DAS prevents the system from booting from that TOS 7 drive.

TOS 7.0.0746 (X86)
F-425 + DAS 4- 320.
TOS 7 is installed, clean install. The drives are also clean. The storage pool and other settings are not configured. When choosing "Restart" from within the OS, it fails to boot. After powering off, it starts correctly from the power button, but not always. Periodically, it drops into initialization with a prompt to install TOS 6.

THAT is WRONG. From Tos 6; you should first update to the latest Tos 6.0.0794 if not already there. Then you should Update to Tos 7.0.0747
as per this:
viewtopic.php?t=10183

Tos7 version .0746 is only for Beta users as it clearly states in the Notes.

I did everything right, but I messed up the discussion threads, thanks.

Sorry, I don't understand. There is currently no installation file to clean install Tos7. Either you updated from Tos6 (and that would needs be Tos6.0.0794) or you updated from a specific Tos7 Beta package. Using Tos7.0.0747 implies you updated from TOS6, but did you have the correct version of Tos6 installed on update? Knowing exactly which path you followed is important in identifying issues.

After successfully updating to TOS 7, perform a factory reset and reinstall the operating system. The installation will then automatically deploy the latest TOS 7 package.

Are you saying that the Tos7 (Official) update from Beta {subject of THIS thread} will re-write the USB/USB-DOM flashdrive to allow the latest TOS7 to be installed. From what I have seen, the few reports indicate that the system tries to re-install TOS6. Or, is it that the factory reset is needed to achieve the Tos7 default install.
Is there any way in which to assess and confirm ON A RUNNING SYSTEM the contents of the USB/USB-DOM Flash and its version.

This is not my problem; I was responding to someone else - but perhaps without the full facts of the case. Anyway, I have always felt a factory reset to be at the extreme end of fixes :)

Under the same conditions, similar issues will also occur in the test version without modifying the boot order. This is exactly an isolated case we found in the test version, and adjusting the boot items is precisely to prevent such situations from affecting the normal operation of TOS7.
