Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
Device = T6-423
After updating to 7.0.0746 every time I log into the GUI I get a message "failed to retrieve data" showing at the top of the screen.
File manager wont load "502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.18.0 (Ununtu)"
everything else (e.g. jellyfin) seems to work, all disks show fine in settings.
On the mobile app I get a frequent popup "request timed out, please try refreshing!"
if I go to settings via the app it shows "Operation Failed!"
I am able to shutdown and restart the NAS from the app but cant upload any files.
If I try to view a photo I see "Loading failed! Please try again" but if I click view original" the image is displayed.
I have sent an email to terramaster support with the gathered system report (ahh it got blocked due to the attachments)

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
So far so good. Existing rsync jobs are running fine, Cloudsync as well. No issues with the D4-320 attached to the F4-424 Pro as another storage pool.
TerraSync seems fine as well, although I only am using the backup feature, manual mode at the moment. Two Windows device and one Mac-mini are backing up to it. I should check the TimeMachine backup as well. All in all, it's fine. There are some UI things that could be improved but they have been all reported and acknowledged.

F6-424 & F4-425 Plus at 7.0.0777
F4-424 Pro also at 7.0.0777
D4-320

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
Just did the update yesterday on my F4-425 Plus (including Bios update) and everything went smoothly.
All my apps and docker stacks works without any problems...
Love the new UI, look a lot better than TOS 6
Still learning all the new settings and options
Good work guys!

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
If I understood well this is the official (non-beta) TOS7 release. How is a regular user supposed to get this update if he is on TOS6 and not willing to install any beta? What's the normal update/upgrade path for a TOS6 user?

Literally the first link in the OP; follow the instructions @ viewtopic.php?t=10183
It requires that an eligible/upgradeable TNAS be on the last stable build of TOS 6 to proceed with the upgrade to this official/stable build of TOS 7 (using a downloaded image, not online install).

I was just going to give the same reply.
I realised the linked post is not very well signposted in the threads.

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
So one on TOS6 needs to upgrade manually, not using the automatic online way? Is this reasonable for 2026? Would you install windows updates manually after downloading them one by one because you know about an obscure thread somewhere on the internet where the updates are advertised?
I for one, after messing up with a betas and finally failing miserably with the last two, went to TOS6 and want to just play safe as a regular user would. So as a regular user I am expected to know about this obscure thread, read the instructions, download and install manually? If that's final TOS7 and the normal upgrade path, that's a fail for most users.
A good UX would be getting a notification like NEW TOS7 WAS JUST RELEASED. HERE'S WHAT'S NEW... CLICK FOR UPGRADE! Then click, reboot and have TOS7 running.
Of course this is just my opinion as an an ex beta tester and a humble recently converted regular user.

The lack of an on-line update from 6 -> 7 has already been discussed. It is not reassuring that @TM felt they had to meet their self-imposed release timeline when not everything was as ready as it could be. I have a feeling that even users who avoid the Beta will still be "crash test dummies" in the near future. My sole remaining Tos6 (production) device will not be updated until later. (But, I do tend to perform staggered updates over my devices anyway)
