Re: TOS 4.1.30 is released for update

As an example, the TOS interface shows my F5-221 has 6GB total memory (2GB onboard + 4GB addon) and runs at a fairly steady 30%ish memory usage. If I look at the free memory displayed in the command line it shows only about 600MB which would work out at over 90% usage, however if I look at the avail...

Re: TOS 4.1.30 is released for update

Have a read of: https://www.networkworld.com/article/2722141/making-sense-of-memory-usage-on-linux.html The concept of "free" memory on Linux is a little different to what you might be familiar with in the Windows world. free vmstat top cat /proc/meminfo The ssh shell commands above will all show di...

Re: Network Speed

Have you tried swapping the cable from one of your other devices to rule out a bad cable?

Re: TOS 4.2.02 beta is released for testing

Are there any plans for a new beta version that includes some of the improvements that have been made in 4.1.30? I thought that was the whole point of having a beta program?

Re: SSD Cache - How to select / check actual mode?

Hi, If you're comfortable using a shell login to the NAS, type the command: dmsetup table This will show the current status of the SSD cache when enabled. The cache type in use by TOS is called "flashcache", more info and bedtime reading here: https://delightlylinux.wordpress.com/2016/05/09/speed-up...

Re: Downgrade TOS software?

An official response is in the last post on page 1 of this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=674

But it does still come with some risk, so a backup would be essential if you ask me.

Re: Downgrade TOS software?

I've done it but I had a backup of all the important data first so it wouldn't have been the end of the world if it'd gone wrong. If I recall it was a case of doing a restore to factory defaults, then following the initial setup process, you'll get warned that the data is going to be overwritten but...

Re: TOS 4.2.02 beta is released for testing

I've found a problem with file manager in the latest TOS 4.2.02 beta. The logged in users home directory doesn't show anymore. For example, logged in as admin I can't see the admin folder in the list on the left. Screenshot from 2020-07-24 10-47-48.png I can get to the logged in user folder by clic...

ClamAV Version older than stated in applications

I've just noticed that the version of ClamAV installed from applications is V0.102.0 but it says it should be V0.102.3?

Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help, the package is listed as V0.102.3 but it's always V0.102.0 that gets installed.

Code: Select all

[root@TNAS-xxxxx ~]# clamscan -V
ClamAV 0.102.0
