D6-320 usb question
Does anyone know how the usb interface is setup on a d6-320? I have 6 drives in my d6-320 and while all 6 drive are seen by windows computers, only 2 of the 6 are seen by some Linux computers. I read where the 6 drives are connected by a pair of usb controllers, on with 4 channels and one with 2 cha...

Re: UPS disconnect
I have fixed the UPS disconnection problem for my specific case. I switched out my Cyberpower CP1500PFCLCD for and older APC UPS that I have, model BACk-UPS XS 1500G. When I hooked this to my F4-423 and booted for the first time it saw a UPS was connected but said it was still the Cyberpower UPS. Bu...

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I have tried many things but I can’t fix this problem. And nobody from TM seems interested in helping solve the problem. I can see that the usb ports go into autosuspend mode after about 30 min of inactivity. Once this happens TOS thinks there is no UPS device attached but if you unplug it you get a...

Re: TOS 6.0.500 Official Release
I installed the update to 6.0.500 on my F4-423. While it fixed the date and time listing on the info page it broke Plex. It will not go to enabled. I reinstalled it and it still fails to enable.
Also it didn’t fix the UPS disconnect problem. Nice to have terminal access that seems to work fine.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
This exact problem was reported over a year ago and there were a few suggestions about a fix. Perhaps have a look at this post and a few more in that thread that discuss an update that should fix the issue. It still continues to disconnect for me. Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
Well I was wrong about this. The usb 2.0 connection still disconnected after a few more hours. Back to square one. A nonfunctional UPS-F4-423 combination.

Re: SSH superuser access to NAT
Never mind. I figures out how to use sudo on the console. Just needed to figure out who was the actual user. Works now that I'm in admin and sudo groups.

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I may have found a way to stop the usb to UPS connection from disconnecting. I plugged the usb cable into the usb 2 connector that normally holds the boot loader inside the case. I extended that connection, with a ribbon cable and a new usb-female socket, to the backside of the box and then plugged ...

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
There is a way to set this parameter in the /etc/defaults directory. You need to add a line usbcore.autosuspend=-1 in /etc/defaults/grub. But it looks like grub isn't being used here. I am sure that TM knows where to make this change so it will be set on reboot. All of this is documented on various ...

Re: UPS losing connection to TOS
I am on TOS 6.0.461. My UPS is on the list of compatible devices, cp1500pfclcd. The usb connection seems to time out and too thinks there is no ups attached. It looks like usb autosuspend is activated as shown here in a console window. SteveH@TNAS-3ADB:~$ cat /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspe...
