TOS 7.0.1298 (ARM) Official Release Update

Users currently running TOS 7.0.1078 β or later versions.

Note:
If your TOS version is TOS 5.1 or TOS 6 Beta, please refer to the TOS 7 ARM official release announcement.
If you are on a different TOS 7 Beta version, please refer to the TOS 7 update guide first.

Here, we sincerely thank @hk87, @hiteksam, @iindeec and others for your sharing and feedback. Your support helped us quickly identify and fix multiple issues.

Release Notes:
This update adopts a phased gray release strategy to ensure stability across different device models and network environments.
Phase 1 (Starting Today): The manual update package is now available for download on our forum. It will be rolled out in batches based on system version, device model, and region.
Phase 2 (Next Tuesday): The full online push will officially begin. At that time, all users will receive an update notification and can complete the update by following the on-screen prompts.

Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed the issue where the CPU temperature alarm policy was not properly adapted for certain models.
2. Fixed the issue where the message center process occasionally used excessive memory.
3. Fixed the issue where some beta versions of the system could not be updated properly.
4. Fixed the issue where deleting the home directory gave no error prompt after enabling the safe box.
5. Fixed the issue where network connectivity checks were requested too frequently.
6. Fixed the issue where the entire folder was skipped without recursively comparing subfiles when uploading, copying, or moving a folder to a directory containing a folder with the same name.
7. Fixed the issue where subfolders in the “Select Folder” dialog of some features were not sorted by name.
8. Fixed the issue where SMB login for a newly created system user might fail after joining an LDAP domain.
9. Fixed the issue where an app was not immediately displayed in the “Installed” list after installation completed.
10. Fixed the issue where app user permissions were not saved after switching to the user page when creating a shared folder.
11. Fixed the issue where selecting all from the table header could not check the admin user group when editing app permissions.
12. Fixed the issue where some option colors did not follow the theme color when creating a VPN.
13. Fixed the issue where a “url:null” prompt appeared when closing some dialogs.
14. Fixed the issue where some TOS apps (running in containers) could not be opened after being installed online from the App Center.
15. Fixed the issue where the account input field on the login page could not be focused automatically and required a manual click before text could be entered.
16. Fixed the issue where the Apply button was abnormally grayed out after clicking the refresh button to sync the time with the time server.
17. Fixed the issue where the time server drop-down list could still be operated while the time was being synced after clicking the refresh button.
18. Fixed the issue where the page kept showing a loading state without any error message when a non-image file was selected for the avatar upload.
19. Fixed the issue where the tooltip text was blank when hovering over the audio player icon in the navigation bar.
20. Fixed various other known issues.

Important Information:
1.Updating the system theoretically will not affect the data on your hard drives, but for safety, please make sure to back up your data in advance.
2.Before updating, ensure that your primary volume (usually volume1) has at least 3GB of available space. Insufficient storage space may cause the update to fail.
3.After the update, the IP address of your TNAS may change. Please use the TNAS PC desktop client to search for and reconnect to the device.

Update Procedure:
Manual Update:
1.Download TOS 7.0.1298 update package (MD5: 815b481dfc82c3f92542ca0de2e8cbfb);
2.Go to TOS > Control Panel > General Settings > System;
3.Under "Manual Update", upload the update package;
4.Click "Apply";
5.After the system update is complete, please refresh your browser;
6.The TNAS IP address may change after the update. If you cannot connect to your TNAS using the previous IP address, use the TNAS PC client to search for the new IP address;

Great to see TerraMaster building momentum with your releases for ARM (and x86 too I'm sure). That's a solid list of fixes, including including one I reported a few weeks back.

After the extended period stuck on TOS5 with no updates, it looks like TerraMaster has turned the corner with TOS7 and now the first update in reasonably quick succession. Well done to the team
