When you create a new shared folder in the Control Panel, a corresponding directory will be automatically generated under the `/Volume1` path.
Do you see that the newly created folder is directly mounted under the root directory `/` in the terminal?
You can check the actual mount and usage information with the following two commands:
Could you tell us how you created the shared folder?
How did this shared folder get mounted under the root directory? Was it mounted there after a normal reboot?
Is /Volume1/ working correctly at this point? Is it displaying as expected?
When did you first notice this behavior, and which version of TOS were you using?
Did this occur in previous versions as well?
Is the issue reproducible?
Thank you for sharing more details — this will help us narrow down the problem.

The system configuration does not include Rsync task configurations. Regarding the issue you mentioned, please check whether the current storage pool and volumes are in a normal state. You can also enter dmesg in the terminal to check whether there are any file system errors. viewtopic.php?t=2575

The free version won't let you edit the default backup path directly. You can see the default Local Folder under Backup Locations - hand that path to an AI and have it turn that folder into a symlink pointing to the directory you created. While you're at it, have it fix the path shown in the UI too (by changing the constant in the plugin) - otherwise the table keeps showing the old path and it gets confusing.

Ah, my mistake — I misread. You're probably on the Pro version. /Backuply is definitely wrong though, don't use that one. Open File Manager, find that folder, see what its full path is, and try entering that.
Would you be willing to help us run a quick test? Before restarting your TNAS, please stop or exit the Backuply backup tool. Once the TNAS has fully restarted, launch Backuply again and see whether the issue occurs again. We suspect that Backuply begins writing data to the TNAS before TOS has completely booted up — the Volume hasn't finished mounting at that point, so data ends up being written to the root directory. If this is confirmed, we'll have a corresponding solution ready.

You can refer to this post to reinstall the TOS system: viewtopic.php?t=423
When initialization begins, you can press ESC to enter custom installation mode and manually upload the bootloader and the TOS installation package to install the TOS version you want.
