Re: TOS 7.0.1140 (x86) Official Release Update
Since the NTP issue isn't explicitly mentioned in the notes, will wait for others to install & comment, before updating.
Re: TOS 7.0.1140 (x86) Official Release Update
I have updated my TNAS to TOS 7.0.1140.
The NTP configuration is currently:
The `prefer` option is no longer present.
NTP is now correctly selecting an external server instead of LOCAL(0):
LOCAL(0) is no longer selected:
The external NTP servers are reachable and the selected server has reach 377.
However, because I had previously removed `prefer` manually, I cannot yet determine whether TOS 7.0.1140 itself contains the NTP fix or whether it simply preserved my modified configuration.
Could you please confirm whether the NTP configuration in TOS 7.0.1140 has been changed to remove `prefer` from LOCAL(0), and whether this issue has now been officially fixed?
Thank you.
The NTP configuration is currently:
Code: Select all
server 127.127.1.0 minpoll 6 maxpoll 10 iburst
NTP is now correctly selecting an external server instead of LOCAL(0):
Code: Select all
*119.18.6.37 .PPS. 1 u 64 377 12.379 -0.200 6.033
Code: Select all
127.127.1.0 .LOCL. 5 l 64 0 0.000 +0.000 0.000
Thank you.
