For those with F4-424 Pro and the errors:
pcieport 0000:00:1c.6: AER: Correctable error message received from 0000:00:1c.6
I've managed to silence them by running this command:
printf '\x01\x20\x00\x00' | dd of=/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:1c.6/config bs=1 seek=$((0x114)) count=4 2>/dev/null
This is only a temporary solution and will be gone after a system reboot.

Interesting enough, more newer F4-424 Pro doesn't seem to be affected. (Maybe older models need a ASM1062 firmware upgrade?)

Thank you for your sharing. This could be a compatibility issue between the hardware and its drivers. We are conducting an in-depth investigation and will follow up on this issue.

Hello!
There is a problem with virtual machines.
In short: it is impossible to work.

Updated to TOS 7. F6-424. All went well.
So far is a nice update.
I have a request for future feature. Could you please reinstate the option in updates to not apply them automatically? Just nice to have a bit of control.

Hello.

I have an F4-423 and want to manually update from TOS 6.0.794 to TOS 7.0.0747. Currently, the OS is installed on an NVMe SSD. There are also 4 HDDs in a TRAID array containing media data. Do I need to remove these 4 HDDs containing the media data for the TOS 7.0.0747 installation so that only the NVMe SSD is available as the installation target? Or must all drives remain inside the TNAS during the installation process? I have no way to back up all the media data from the 4 HDDs externally, and I am worried about losing that data.

Already done. BIOS version is: T1509BG0. Adjusted boot order: 1. HDD, 2. NVMe, 3. USB.

My question is: do all 4 HDDs need to remain inside the TNAS during installation process if the OS is being installed on the NVMe?

Given that you are now indicating boot order of HDD/Nvme/USB I presume you have already migrated the system drive to HDD. It is not clear if you also have a Volume(?) on the nvme.
Generally speaking, updating does not affect the data.
1. In theory, the update will not affect hard disk data, but for safety, be sure to back up important data.
I have not had any significant issues with data drives except in circumstances of my own making or where stated in the release notes in advance. I have always updated with drives in place, except when deliberately setting out to break something. :roll: :lol:
In the case where the system drive is on HDD, The HDD must be installed in order to boot from it/them. I would say that the data drives need to be installed (rather than not). For one, the system would need to see them to confirm they are actually there. Secondly, whether you select nvme or hdd for the system drive, they need to allocate the partition space for the boot/os/swap to exist which makes migration of the system drive possible. The unselected drives are just not active as system drives until and unless migration is activated.

{Caveat: I have no direct knowledge of the -423 devices.}
{Caveat: If data is important to you, there should always be a backup. NOT snapshots, NOT raid, NOR any of the other faux "backups" that exist}

Thank you for the support. I apologize if my details aren't easy to understand. Here is the current situation:

1. OS is TOS 6.0.794
2. The system drive containing the installed OS is an NVMe SSD (Volume 1)
3. TRAID array consisting of 4 HDDs containing media data (Volume 2)
4. In the BIOS, I have set the boot order as follows: 1. HDD, 2. NVMe, 3. USB
5. The OS remains on the NVMe drive; it has not been—and will not be—migrated to an HDD

My idea is to remove all 4 HDDs and keep only the NVMe drive installed when I proceed to install the new OS version (TOS 7.0.0747) onto the NVMe drive (Volume 1). After installing TOS 7.0.0747, I would then reinsert the 4 HDDs and update Volume 2. Would this work?

EDIT: Should be the NVMe nr.1 in the boot order, if I want to install OS on it and also boot from it?

I think it should, but I would want to recheck all the threads (there are some older ones) regarding any difficulties - or otherwise - other users have had. In the meantime, hopefully @TMSupport will have a definitive answer.
I still would not remove the HDD for Tos update unless it explicitly says to do that from another authoritative source.
