Hi,
In TOS6 I have currently this kind of configuration:
- NVME for SYSTEM and APPS
- HDDs for DATA and USER HOMEs
This configuration is working well, but I discovered that on the HDDs are also stored a lot of system related directories (with @):
@apps
@cache
@collect
@desktop
@faceCover
@system
@thumbnail
@videoframe
@zlog
in particular
@system/media/pgsql/pg_stat_tmp
@zlog
are always updated preventing the HDDs to go in sleep.
I know that in control panel is possible to move @app to another Volume but it's possible only to move together both USERS and SYSTEM directories. This prevent to have a more useful mixed configuration like all the SYSTEM @ directories together with the OS on NVME and have the USERS homes on HDDs. Do you have any ideas how to force in case?

Hi,
this is great because can give to the official OS flexibility without introducing ad-hoc configuration like I did here viewtopic.php?t=10200

Re: TOS6 ability to move system and home directories on different volumes
Hey!
Just wondering if this feature is available on TOS 7 yet. I have the same setup, and without it I'm forced to create users manually, which is a shame because of the missing functionality mentioned here:
> Disabling the Homes directory service will also disable the following services. Are you sure you want to continue?
>
> * User Space: Desktop, Safe, My Documents.
> * TNAS Mobile: Album Backup.
> * TerraSync: My Files.
> * Photos: Personal Space.
Can I do something different?
Thanks!
