Hi,

in the installation notes you wrote that I have to change my Boot Priority Order in the BIOS to the system HDD(s) as the first device. I'm running a F4-421 with 6.0.794 and MAPL0303V19.

After booting to BIOS I cannot change Boot Priority Order. This point seems locked. I tried switching from UEFI+Legacy to UEFI only and Legacy only. No chance to change anything. The system boots everytime from the "Built-In USB Device"

How can I do the Upgrade to TOS 7?

Best regards

Chris

Can you identify where you read this? {I'm missing it for some reason.} Which version of the update package have you downloaded?

The F4-421 does not support changing the BIOS boot order.
If you do not want to boot from the built-in USB drive, you may want to remove the fan and case and disconnect the built-in USB drive from the motherboard.

I read it here - first page of this thread:
6. If you have modified the BIOS boot order, before updating, adjust it so that the TOS system disk has priority over USB drives and other boot devices. Otherwise, the device may enter the system installation interface again after the update.
I personally don't want to change the boot order - but I'm afraid that I will enter the installation interface after the update.... as written above and I break my system.

Is the conclusion that I cannot start the update without removing the stick? The upgrade from TOS 5 to TOS 6 worked without changing the boot process. Any advise what to do?

I have F4-424 upgraded to TOS 7 without problem but it asked me to allow system run a permission conversion process. I clicked ok with the recommended option, but after two hours it still doing its job, my volume is about 25TB, how long will it take and is it normal it take more than 2 hours? Thanks.

I upgraded successfully my F2-223 to TOS7. However I skipped the 'allow system run a permission conversion process' and don't know how to restart it.
Can you help ?

I don't recall seeing that little gem documented. I'm interested how that works.

If you skip this step, you will need to manually reconfigure the permissions for your shared folder; the permissions from TOS 6 will not be inherited.
