Please power the NAS off, and connect a keyboard and monitor to it and go to the BIOS setup.

Change the default USB boot order to the SATA HDD, then save settings and reboot

424-PRO with m05 BIOS.

Install was successful but cannot access NAS via IP. Opened TNAS PC and it says Unitialized.

It wants me to choose my system disk for installation... I have 3 HDD + 1 NVMe. I think I chose the NVMe, will it cause an issue if I choose the wrong disk?

.... and removed USB, rebooted and all working! Phew!

There is something odd going on with the networking config. I have just updated earlier today and now I noticed (in TnasPC first) that it is showing both a BOND with the proper IP address as assigned (manually), but also a LAN1 connection (literally "Connected") with a 'default' IP of 169.254.0.0. with the correct MAC address for LAN1.
I have no idea what it thinks it is connected to!

ps the actual BOND is Lan1 + Lan2
pps The manual configuration (via GUI) for Lan1 is completely blank
ppps When attempting to access via "LAN1" from TnasPC I get the "try changing IP" dialogue.

Sorry. I think I posted this in the wrong thread. It should relate to F2-425Plus. I will repost in the correct thread and you can delete the post here.

My setup: I have a TerraMaster F2-424 with BIOS MADN0101.V05, running several Docker containers (Immich, Lyrion, AdGuard, etc.) and two NVMe SSDs (no HDDs).

I first updated the BIOS to V08 (even though it wasn’t strictly necessary), and the update went smoothly.
Next, I upgraded to TOS 7. The entire update took about 5 minutes and completed without any issues.
Finally, I updated Docker and Docker Manager, which also went perfectly.

As an additional check, I verified that macOS Time Machine backups are still working correctly.

Everything is now fully up to date and running very well.

Hi, my new F4-424pro has the Bios Madn0101.V08 but i couldn't download TOS7 so i contacted help.

I got a link for the guide how to use TOS7 properly ...., so i "updated" my bios. Steps 1-7 were successfully done, but now it is stuck with the recommended Step5, a second boot from usb disk. :!:

It is stuck since more than 4 hours at the following message Reached target Tnas System Initialization. All messages on screen are green/ok. As the help is probably offline, i want to know if somebody might help. No HDD only 2 NVMe as Raid1.

I don't think you needed to update the Bios and I'm not sure the Bios would have anything to do with the Tos update failing to work. It may not help, but my experience with my +425 model is not dissimilar:

Hope you get it sorted.

I would like to know if there is any way to update to TOS version 7. My NAS is an F6-424 with BIOS version MADN0102.V06 and TOS version 6.0.794.

Thanks

It's a direct manual upgrade on that particular model.
