In which case could you please include "Known Bugs/Deficiencies" in the release notes. That way, users with specific needs won't go down any rabbit holes. Assuming they read the release notes, of course.TMroy wrote: ↑18 Jun 2026, 12:45
Therefore, we have adopted a 'dual-track' strategy: releasing the official version next week to allow users to experience the new architecture, while for feedback like yours that has already been verified, we will release an update as soon as possible after the official launch to address them.

The current TOS7 design does not support booting from an external disk.
"In TOS 7, if you perform a standard OS installation and then move the SSD containing the OS into an external USB-to-SATA enclosure, TOS 7 will fail to boot, unlike TOS 6."

Latest update still destroyed SMB and SFTP access. Can't even enable or disable SFTP because it keeps spamming port must be between 1024-65535 which doesn't work.

Re: TOS 7.0.0706 Beta (X86) is Released for Update
Horror. I've just updated as advised from the web of my F5-221, 5 x 10Tb (raid5) wich was working fine with the penultimate version of TOS 7 for over a month (by the way, full of data!!!!).
Since the reboot, the NAS is not accesible from any IP, TNAS PC doesn't find it, and it beeps continuosly (1 beep every second).
PLEASE!!!!! WHAT CAN I DO TO UNDO THE UPDATE AND SAVE MY LIFE???

Re: TOS 7.0.0706 Beta (X86) is Released for Update
Last two betas were the worst since TOS5. I was forced to go to TOS6 because 3 of 5 drives wouldn't be detected and still have issues even in TOS6 caused but TOS7 as unbelievable as it seems (no scheduled tasks anymore but NAS still starts / shuts down like with the old scheduled tasks I had many moons ago). Smels a lot like Claude in action. No intention here to go to TOS7 for some time. Good luck!

Yup happened to me too. Had to take the drive out, transfer files, reformat and transfer again.usersky wrote: ↑19 Jun 2026, 04:07 Last two betas were the worst since TOS5.
