[Help] TNAS user/pass changed

Post by Atreyu »

My TNAS F-423 logged me out after a power outage and now when attempting to log back in through TNAS PC, it says my username and password are incorrect.

i made no changes to these settings and my TNAS PC APP and my network see the device, but i nave no access to it.

I did not receive any emails from terra to say that a change was made or any unknown logins so I am confused as to what happened.

Hello, I can not.

The IP Address that it should be gives me error "connection timeout" "refused connection"

I am not able to change the IP Address either because when I attempt to change it and use the same password as always, it says Password Incorrect!

An abnormal power outage may cause database anomalies, so even if you enter the correct username and password, an error message will be displayed. You might consider resolving this by reinstalling the system: viewtopic.php?t=423

There are two methods according to that topic.

It says if “normally resetting” you shouldn’t lose data on your hard drives.

Is either method considered normal?

Thank you very much.

It wasn't a security issue after all.

Reinstalling through method 2 solved the login issue but brought a new issue.

After resetting the f2-423, it made me create a new user and my original user had a folder in "homes" that has since disappeared. i can see it in file manager but cant seem to get it to be accessible in the network or other folders.

I upgraded to 7.0 afterward since the forum said that resolved the issue for multiple people but that did not help either.

I have tried to find an existing forum topic for it, but struggled to locate a specific fix.

You can move the relevant files to your shared folder through file management for easier access.
