I was having issue with my memory modules getting to hot. and my array being degraded.
I have found that the 1.4 modules show 118F no matter what fan setting is used.
On auto fan, modules 1-3 (all 1.4) units were at 118F., module 4 is a 1.3 series and was at 114F.
Putting fan on full lowered the 1.3 module to 86F but the others stayed at 118F.
I adjusted the fan to always on full and it lowered the temp of the 1.3 module that shows the correct temperature.
I believe the auto fan setting does not work since it is reading a M2 chip that is always reporting 118F.
Since the change all is well with my nas.
Hopefully Terramaster will address the temp reading issue in an update.

For an SSD, 118°F (47.8°C) is well within normal operating range. Most SSDs can safely operate up to 158°F (70°C). This means cooling fans don’t need to run at full speed for an SSD at 118°F. Regarding '1.3, 1.4' – could you clarify if this refers to numerical ranges (e.g., 1-3, 1-4)? Also, may I ask the brand and model of your SSD?

slot 1-3 have NVMe version 1.4 memory modules that all slots "report' 118F no matter what their temperature is.
slot 4 has a NVMe version 1.3 module that reports the correct temperature.
The auto fan function apparently does not use slot 4 for its calculation for target fan speed.

I am going to guess that the Version numbers you are quoting are the firmware versions of each product and have little relevance.
I notice that, for the Leven product you quote, their detailed specs do NOT state "Linux" as a covered operating system.

It has been said (and I paraphrase) that if you design a set of concrete water wings and build them to those designs precisely and observe quality procedures throughout, they will meet the required standard for certification.
