Lost all my files after TOS re-install. But data still seems to be on the drives. (F4-210)

I moved appartments and I couldn't access my NAS (f4-210) because of the IP change (why?!?!). It didn't help that I couldn't remember my password and that there doesn't seem to be a reset password option.

I ended up trying this:

Method B:

1. Turn off your TNAS device;
2. Remove all HDD/SSD;
3. Turn on your TNAS;
4. Wait about 2 minutes, after the network light is on, use TNAS PC to search for your TNAS device;
5. Clear browser cache;
6. Select the device and click "Login" to the "Initialization" page;
7. When it says “No hard drives detected”, please keep the NAS powered on and insert your hard drives.
8. Follow the instructions on the web page to install the new TOS system.


It worked. I can now access my NAS on my PC. All my files are gone, but according to storage info, There is 5TB of used space.
The data still seems to be on the drive, but in the file manager or on the mapped drive, there are no files.

Any ideas ?

Please check if your shared folders are displayed correctly in the list on the TOS Control Panel Shared Folder page.
Could you also verify that the TOS Control Panel shows the correct capacity and space usage for your volume?
If all your shared folders exist and the volume usage is correct, there are likely three reasons:

1. Due to an IP change, the original SMB mapped drive credentials on your PC have become invalid. Please clear the credentials and cache before reconnecting to the NAS. For detailed steps, please refer to:

2. After resetting the system, the permissions for the shared folders may have been reset. If you haven't set the permissions for the shared folders yet, you won't be able to see them in File Manager or on SMB network mapped drives. Please check and set the permissions for the shared folders.

3. If you confirm that the shared folder exists, the volume is using space correctly, and the permissions are correct, but you still cannot see the files in File Manager or on the SMB network mapped drive, this may indicate a file system error. Please try to fix it by following these steps:

I guess my only problem with this is that I don't know what any of it means.
