How to Upgrade f4-424 from tos5 to tos6

Hey,

In another Thread I was adviced to upgrad TOS5 to TOS6 on my f4-424 as only tos6 can install packages in Linux as tos5 doesn't Support apt-get.
But I don't know how. In the System Management it always says that my Software is up to date. So what can I do? And can I used my installed Apps afterwards again?

but a lot of that probably won't be of interest to you. A direct link to the update package is in this post of mine from a few days ago. That thread is about a different model, but the process is the same. (Presume you never ran anything less than 5.1 on your F4-424).

So I can Update directory to tos6 if i got it right as I have exactly tos 5.1.145 and am not in between. But do you know if my Apps are updated as well or do I have to Rennstall everything?

Hello, updating TOS5 to TOS6 will not update your existing apps, you can manually update your apps after updating to TOS6.

Ok but still not sure as I read the warning that All my configuration will be gone after that. So all the data on the nas Hdds and the raid1 I installed is all away?

Hello, upgrading the system generally will not damage your data.
