My F2-221, which has been working solidly for a couple of years, has just dropped off my network and will now not reboot fully.
I have plugged an HDMI into the back and I can see it all starting up, but then the drives whirr down and it just sits there seemingly stuck on a line about clearing a quotacheck.
I can't access the web interface, i can't access the drives over smb, my router displays it as not on the network at all.
HOWEVER, i tried following along the steps from viewtopic.php?t=423 and it gets slightler weird.
1. Turn off your TNAS device - ok
2. Remove all hard drives - ok
3. Turn on your TNAS - ok
4. Wait about 2 minutes, after the network light is on, use TNAS PC to search for your TNAS device; - The NAS beeps loudly 3 times after a few seconds, the network light is flashing, but the NAS still does not show as being on the network.
The last line of startup it sits on when doing this is: "udhcpc: no lease, forking to background"
TNAS PC says it cannot find a TNAS on the network, but when i press search i can see on the monitor that a bunch of back and forth happens and is exited. The messaging I can see on the NAS side though is for an IP 1 place different to the one that it has been assigned, but trying to access that doesn't work any better. My thought here though is that the NAS clearly is on the network since it I can see it responding to network traffic.
Is this a NAS problem or has my network gone screwy on me? How do i reinstate a TNAS that refuses to come online?

Re: F2-221 not connecting to LAN
Can't see how to edit my post, but i have realised I am slightly dim on one point - the IP I see in the on screen messaging when i search for the NAS from TNAS PC is the IP of the computer it is coming from.
So it can definitely see the search, but is not responding to it/responding to it correctly?

Re: F2-221 not connecting to LAN
Please attempt the following steps:
1.Restart the Router:
Unplug the router from the power source and wait for about 10 seconds.
Plug the power back in and wait for the router to fully start up, until the indicator lights are stable.
2.Remove the NAS Hard Drives:
Turn off the power to the NAS device.
Carefully remove all hard drives from the NAS, ensuring safe handling.
3.Restart the NAS:
Turn the NAS device back on, ensuring no hard drives are installed.
Wait for the NAS to emit three beep sounds, confirming a successful restart.
4.Use TNAS PC to Search:
Open the TNAS PC software.
Click the search button to see if the NAS device can be found.

Re: F2-221 not connecting to LAN
Cheers for the response.
I have powered down and unplugged router for a minute or two, waited for connection light upon restart, started NAS with no drives in it (three loud beeps again) and it still does not discover from TNAS PC on start up

Re: F2-221 not connecting to LAN
SOLVED (maybe)
for anyone struggling in future I noticed that when I searched from the TNAS PC all the messages on the TNAS end, via a monitor plugged in, mention dchp conflicts. this made me do some googling about that 'no lease, switch to fork' thing, since it felt like the issue was leasing IPs.
it turns out BT Homehubs just run out of IP addresses eventually and then the dchp breaks, so whether that was my issue or not the solution was to factory reset my homehub and set it up again. Now my NAS is back online, as are the two other things on wired connections that i hadn't noticed also went down. Not a terramaster issue. Thanks for the reply though.
