I recently updated the firmware on the NAS. Not sure what version but it was the current version as of 30 Oct 2024.
It restarted and while I can access the data via the SMB share, I cannot access the portal to do any management.
It just gets stuck after asking for username and password on the interface window, none of the icons are present and the menus do not work.
More and more disappointed by the customer service on this as I read post after post where no help is provided.

It is possible that the system has an unknown fault.
You may consider resetting the system.

Re: F2-210 stuck after update
So I followed the instructions from the above link, this prompts me to either initialise from the version on disk, or from the latest version (wiping the drives)! So what is the point?? Either I keep my data and KEEP the issue or I fix the issue but lose the data?
This is feeling very amateurish, having a frustrating week with Terramaster storage solutions....

Re: F2-210 stuck after update
Reinstalling TOS solves a lot of problems with the software. If you're still having problems, it's probably a problem with the disk and storage structure. You can use a professional tool to check the disks. Or if you don't know what to do, we can arrange for you to have an engineer to investigate the problem remotely. You can contact our technical support mailbox or the customer service window on the homepage of our website to schedule an appointment. Please remember to provide them with a link to this post.

Re: F2-210 stuck after update
There was no problem with the disks till I did the firmware update.
I can access the drives just fine, its just the TOS that refuses to load properly.
Reinstalling the TOS requires me to wipe the drives, which I don't have space to backup to anywhere else.

Re: F2-210 stuck after update
I had a similar result after erroneously trying to upgrade my F2-210 to TNAS V5. It now looks as if TOS is just an HTML script which runs on your default web browser. For me, upgrading to TNAS V3.0.2.6 worked fine and I was able to map the NAS to windows 11's Disk Explorer. I then went to attach a couple USB drived, which is done using TOS. When I accessed TOS from TNAS, it opened but the progress bar just churned away and no icons appeared on the TOS page.
One question I do have concerns my F2-210's IP address. It came up in TNAS as 169.254.0.153. That is certainly not an address I would have given it. I would have used something in the 192.168.x.x range. But it worked and was quite an effort to get there so I left it as it was.
