Newly purchased F2-212, I have completed the initial configuration successfully, and am able to connect to the unit and manually copy large files successfully.
Time Machine sees it as an available drive, connects to it, and starts the backup process. But it will not complete it. I have tried afp and smb. A file is created on the 212, but again, will not complete the backup. I’ve been fighting it for a couple weeks now.
F2-212 is running 5.1.37
Mac is an M1 iMac, on Sonoma
I am also backing up to a Time Capsule, which is still running brilliantly, I might add. I was hoping this Terra Master NAS would replace it so I am not running on borrowed time…

Re: Unable to complete backup
Same problem with OS Sequoia 15.0.1 and F2-221 TOS 5.1.145-00012 I've been fighting with it for weeks but it seems unsolvable. I'll try to set permissions from ssh
Re: Unable to complete backup
I have not been able to resolve this, but have also not spent time on it lately.
Re: Unable to complete backup
Since you've tried both AFP and SMB, have you considered testing the backup with a direct Ethernet connection?hodaka wrote: ↑07 Oct 2024, 03:57 I have not been able to resolve this, but have also not spent time on it lately.geometry dash lite
Re: Unable to complete backup
Superusers cannot perform Time Machine backup through AFP file service. You need to create
or use another administrator for Time Machine backup.

Re: Unable to complete backup
You are correct. That is not the problem in my case.

Re: Unable to complete backup
Have now tried direct ethernet connect, still fails. I have tired two different CAT6 cables.

Hello,
I'm facing the similar issue. After few minutes TimeMachine stops working.
