I don't quite understand, can I make an assumption? You have user "user1". After changing the workgroup to workgroup123, you cannot use "workgroup123\user1" to access TOS through SMB. Is this your problem?

Not quite.



As you can see The display name in Explorer does not match that set in TOS. Not the workgroup shown for NAS-1 is correct as set in TOS5.1.145.
I had not noticed any variation up until 6.0.500. I am currently working on the assumption that SMB does not actually enforce the mapping of 'workgroup' as I don't appear to have access uses. However this is a new installation and only working with minimal users with maximum permissions.

My NAS turned off again, all kinds of hdd sleep modes are turned off, there are no errors in the logs. Why do I even have one system disk now? Before the update to the release version, all 4 were system-based

Have you checked the partitioning on all your hdd. I suspect more than one is partitioned with required os partitions but just not active.

Yes, the partitions are the same, but previously all 4 HDDs were displayed as system

I understand that under 6.0.500 only max of 2 drives are assigned to system. I'm not sure what has happened in you case.

I was lucky in a sense, I already wanted to order a new F6-424 MAX, but then this bug appeared in the release version, which they have not been able to fix for the second week, this has become a great indicator of the attitude towards the client. Now I'm just wondering how much longer to wait for this dumpster to work, because it's just impossible to use it.

I installed tomorrow morning the 6.0.507 update which is solved the file permission problem.
