Update from 5.1.95 to 5.1.103. Went very smoothly. So far no issues. Will continue to monitor.

Hello, I have some not critical bugs. I'm using TNAS U8-722-2224, and can't see model name and correct sensors data at "Network\General" and "System Info\Overview" tabs inside "Control Panel". "Model" field are blank, CPU temp sensor irrelevant (I definitely not have -1 degree Celsius inside servers room), HDD temp sensor chaotically chow different HDD every time when I open tab, and fan speed always show 0 RPM. Screens are added. Can all this be fixed, please?

Unless you were prompted by your TNAS to update, this manual update doesn't include your series of devices in its release notes.

Terramaster newer include U series model inside supported model list, dunno why. For example 5.1.95 release notes also not mention U series, and previous updates too. But they are available at the official software download page https://support.terra-master.com/download for my NAS model. I'm asking about this once, and they are answered that x86 update are common for all x86 based TNAS models.

I have not seen it mentioned anywhere "official", but HD temp always used to be HD1. I think they have modified it to show hottest HD at the time. Mine shows (eg) HD5 which is the biggest/noisiest/fastest HD in the cabinet!

Did you follow the update instructions on the official website? From what version was updated to 5.1.103? None of your hardware information shows the device temperature.

Yes I did. This is not my first update. And indeed I have 8gb system partition, because I did clear 5.1.XX OS installation inside clean TNAS box when we just bought hardware, and I was been aware about 8gb and installation procedure. And indeed I checked results after. So

Code: Select all

Device Start End Sectors Size Type
/dev/sda1 2048 585727 583680 285M Linux filesystem
/dev/sda2 585728 16586751 16001024 7.6G Linux filesystem
/dev/sda3 16586752 20586495 3999744 1.9G Linux filesystem
/dev/sda4 20586496 35156654039 35136067544 16.4T Linux filesystem
Free space 35156654080 35156656094 2015 1007.5K
From what version was updated to 5.1.103?
From 5.1.95
None of your hardware information shows the device temperature.
That's why I'm asking for. And it's never was, same as device model and fan RPM, starting from 5.1.24, which I installed to the freshly purchased clean device. I'm just not asking before...

So this has nothing to do with the current update, under which you posted?
