I'm connecting to my F4-423 via google chrome
When I move or rename a file, it appears to copy the file to my laptop, rename it and copy it back to the new location, then delete the original file.
I've been this this is because I am doing it as a "client side operation" not a "server side operation", but I cant find any documentation on how to change that.
Any suggestions?
Infuriatingly my laptop ethernet port is damaged so limited to 100mb so renaming a 20gb file is a nightmare so I really cant just power through it
Files are copying when renaming or moving
Re: Files are copying when renaming or moving
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. If you want to transfer data between your laptop and NAS conveniently.
You can use SMB to transfer. The method is: find "File Service" in "Control Panel" and enable the "SMB" function. Then follow the instructions below.
