Hi,
I have a F2-221 with TOS 5.1.33 , MAPL304V17,
When I start my F2-221, the USB drive is not mounted at startup. After switching on, I must plug it in and then, it is displayed.
I wish the USB drive would be automatically mounted at startup.
What I have done: I tried to plug in several external drive (Seagate, WD) same problem. I have resetted my terramaster and locally reinstalled TOS 5.1.33 and I faced the same problem.
I have formatted the external USB HD drive using TOS in Ext4, it changed nothing.
i have logged in via ssh and checked fdisk -l and found the attached USB drive (but it was not mounted)
So i manually mounted it using
mount -t ext4 -o rw /dev/sdd1 /Volume1/@usb/usbshare1
The network share appears but in the TOS, I can't see the USB drive icon at the top, so i can't remove it from the TOS.
I wonder if this problem is only mine or if it a normal behavior of Terramaster NAS. Are your USB drives auto mounted at startup or are you obliged to mount it manually after it started up?
It is a major problem in case of power failure.

Hi. Do you have encryption enabled on the USB device? When encryption is enabled, it will not be automatically mounted when booting.

i am having this issue too, after a reboot i have to manually unplug and plug them in to see them again.
is there a setting that i am missing?
but ya, this is a little hard to fix if i am away from home and there is a power failure.

Try 5.1.34, does this issue persist?

i will try that once the update package is available for download, this is not a new problem for me.
now if i can only get it to resize the storage pool to fit the new hard drives.
