[ Syncthing ] Continuous Replication/Cluster Sync

Post by outkastm »

About: https://syncthing.net/

Image

Applicable models: x.64 series, ARMv8 series
Applicable TOS4: 4.1.27 or later versions
Applicable TOS5: 5.0.135 or later versions
To download the app: https://tmnascommunity.eu/download/syncthing

How to install a third party app in your TOS?

Module WebUI for additional settings can be accesses at

http(s)://yournasip:port/modules/SyncThing/www

Something you need to pay attention during your installation:
Firewall rules (for WAN) and remote access :

Port Forwards

If you have a NAT router, the easiest way to get a working port forward is to make sure UPnP is enabled – syncthing will handle the rest. If this is not possible or desirable you should set up a port forward for port 22000/TCP, or the port set in the Sync Protocol Listen Address setting.

Local Firewall

If your PC has a local firewall, you will need to open the following ports for incoming traffic:

Port 22000/TCP (or the actual listening port if you have changed the Sync Protocol Listen Address setting.)
Port 21025/UDP (for discovery broadcasts)

Remote Web GUI

To be able to access the web GUI from other computers, you need to change the GUI Listen Address setting from the default 127.0.0.1:8384 to 0.0.0.0:8384. You also need to open the port in your local firewall if you have one.

Added armv8 version. You have to test yourself and let me know if it works.
I don't have an arm NAS yet to test it myself.

Firstly Thank you for these packages, amazing work.

With SyncThing, is there any issues upgrading the versions inside the NAS?

Normally should be no issues, folders used for app and settings are outside the TOS folders.

I also use Syncthing on my TNAS, although my way is different - as a Docker container.

The address I use to get to the WebUI is mynasip:8384.
F2-221
is my first NAS, bought in October 2020

Hello, still doesn't work for me.

I have installed several @outkastm applications and I get the same error.
