Re: TOS 7 Is Now Out of Beta — Official Release
After updating my F4-424/MADN0101.V08 to TOS7, syslog is flooded by repeating messages even w/o any disks attached (except for the NVME system one) Jul 7 16:40:35 tnas kernel: [ 112.072760] pcieport 0000:00:1c.6: AER: Correctable error message received from 0000:00:1c.6 Jul 7 16:40:35 tnas kernel: ...

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
I have just updated my F2-221 (one of the oldest Tos7 capable models) and I do not share your experience. I have 2 drives - admittedly both are ext4, none of the 'fancy stuff' - one is 4TB Traid and the other 3TB single drive. Both took approximately 6 seconds to scan and report usage details. I su...

Re: TOS 7.0.0746 Official Release (X86) is Now Available
After installing TOS 7 and going to Storage Manager -> Volume -> Usage Details it takes too long. In TOS6 it was a few seconds, now it's taking minutes to give the usage details. Command running in the background is this one, consuming 93% cpu and 27% of whole system memory (and growing) 93.4 27.1 1...

[Discussion] Is apt-get upgrade recommended in TOS6? [SOLVED]
Since TOS6 is ubuntu-based, i've seen that there's no internal TOS process to upgrade OS packages, but through SSH I can apt update && apt upgrade to upgrade installed deb packages. Is it recommended to perform security updates on the OS layer or will it break something with TOS so it's bett...

Re: F4-424 ¿weird? fan behaviour
Hi.
Thanks for the answer. Is there a way to avoid stopping the fan and keep it at lower RPMs like 400 or 300? I guess not, but is it possible to add this feature to newer TOS releases? I'd rather prefer low RPM than no RPM at all

Re: F4-424 ¿weird? fan behaviour
Hi again. Seems that the one doing this is the smartfan daemon . As seen in /var/log/smartfan.log: When getMaxDiskTemperature is under 35 puts the fan to stop (i guess that's what -w 1 does), and then when temperature is again 35 gets it to 40%. MonitorTemperature, getMaxDiskTemperature result -> 35...

F4-424 ¿weird? fan behaviour
Hi. I've detected some weird behaviour with the fan. Probably it isn't weird at all, but i'd like to "fix" it. Ambient room temperature es around 20 degrees C. Fan config is in automatic mode. TOS 5.1.145. I've realized that the fan is constantly stopping and spinning up again. This can be...
