TOS 7.0.0517 Beta (X86) is Released for Update
Posted: 14 Apr 2026, 15:50
Target Users:
Users currently running TOS 7.0.0299 beta or later versions.
Note:
1. If your TOS version is TOS 6, please refer to the TOS 7 beta update instructions first
2. If you log in immediately after an update or restart, a brief error message may appear. This occurs because certain background services are still in the process of initializing. All core functions remain unaffected and can be used normally. This display anomaly will be addressed in a future release.
Here, we sincerely thank user @rfbjr, @nedhedrick, @DCCentR, @snapsh0t, @mnewland, @Gremlin, @Nitrokalel, @OttO1916, @joka388, @Metyrion, @bladi3990, @storageninja, @Joesh, @DBa, @apfelnico, @logicalx and others, for their sharing and feedback. It is your support that has enabled us to quickly identify and resolve some issues.
Update Notes
Bugs fixed:
1. Fixed an issue where the button on the login page might not highlight correctly.
2. Fixed an issue where the MSDFS VFS feature might not take effect.
3. Fixed an issue where a newly created volume might not display in File Manager under specific environments.
4. Fixed an issue where operating the application list in Backup Center might trigger an error message.
5. Fixed an issue where modifying a username would clear that user's application permissions.
6. Fixed an issue where clicking Remote Access without an internet connection would display a Failed to fetch data notification.
7. Optimized the loading performance and status display on certain pages.
8. Fixed other known issues.
Important Information:
1.Updating the system theoretically will not affect the data on your hard drives, but for safety, please make sure to back up your data in advance.
2.Before updating, ensure that your primary volume (usually volume1) has at least 3GB of available space. Insufficient storage space may cause the update to fail.
3.After the update, the IP address of your TNAS may change. Please use the TNAS PC desktop client to search for and reconnect to the device.
Update Procedure:
1.Go to TOS > Control Panel > General Settings > System > Update, and click "Check for updates."
2.Follow the prompts to update the system.
3.After the system update is complete, you may need to refresh your browser.
