[Help] Brand new D4-320 won't power on

I bought this less than a month ago and it was working fine, had some formatting stuff to do with the drives inside before I used it so I powered it down and now it just won't turn on. I've tried removing USB, taking drives out, swapping the outlet and removing / reinserting power cable and it just does nothing. Is this a known issue? I'm aware it could be the power supply but I'm using the out of the box one that has less than 12 hours of use atp.

Hi.
Please check if the LED on the original power adapter is lit.
If you have another power adapter with a 12V output (from a router, ultrabook, monitor, etc.), you can also try replacing the original one to test it.

this may be a really silly question, but you do know theres a power button on the back of the D4-320, it wont just power up by plugging the power cable in?

a rather strange place to put it in my opinion especially when its placed in a comms cabinet

Yes it will auto power on once you plug power cable in, to avoid pressing by mistake

funny that mine didn't, i had to push the power button, so what is the functionality of the power button if plugging the cable in powers it up and unplugging it powers it down?

Do not shut down the device by unplugging the power cord. This is an abnormal power outage and may cause file system errors or data loss. The power button is the device's main power switch; press the power button to turn off the device after the safety button has ejected.

You may consider D6-320 if you prefer it on the front?
