[Help] Beep volume?

Post by rfbjr »

I swear some of my devices beep louder than others.
Is there a setting to adjust the volume of the beep? :)
F4-424 Pro seems to beep the loudest. Maybe the Pro model has a bigger speaker. ;)

The enclosure materials may have something to do with that as well.

Thank you for your feedback and insightful observation! The volume of the buzzer may vary across different NAS models due to differences in internal hardware design and buzzer specifications.

Currently, the TOS system on NAS devices does not offer a software setting to adjust the buzzer volume. If you find the buzzer too loud, the only option at this time is to completely disable the buzzer function in the TOS system settings.

Please weigh the pros and cons of silencing the buzzer versus losing the audible alerts.

Ok some might find this amusing. What is happening when I sit down at the "work" table early in the morning, I don't have my hearing aids in yet. So any reboot the "beep" sounds muffled or softer. But later after I put them in, the "beep" sounds very loud. Oops.
