New F2-425 Plus - Installation and musings

Sunday:
Received my new F2-425 Plus - Thanks Terra-Master 8-)

{I had decided to set this up as a "new" device rather than transferring from an older machine.
Naturally this put a bit of a strain on finances given the current situation and pricing. However,
I was able to find some "new, old stock" Crucial P3 nvme. 2 x 500GB would replicate my F2-424
setup - These are adequate for the '525+' as it still only uses Pcie Gen3 over 1 lane for the nvme drives.
Also found a couple of used Seagate 6TB Exos drives. Not used this type of drive before (used HGST in the -424),
so interested to see how they go. (They seem just as noisy as the HGST :o )}

Monday:
I had previously retrieved a copy of a TOS7 installation file (v .0403) that had been linked in another thread. SO, lets try a direct manual install of that! Smooth as silk :P
Initially I just installed the nvme drives (Traid mirror). Setup the o/s and Volume1 on these. Once I was happy
everything was working, performed update to v.0408 (latest at the time). I then installed the pair of HDD (again, Traid mirror), as a second storage pool and 2 Volumes.
Then just let the nas do it's thing and by about midnight the drives/pools/volumes were sync'd.

Tuesday:
New Tos7 update. (Time to retest Filesystem snapshots). Install some applications and copy over some files. Network
is only running at 2.5Gbe so the higher speed ethernet adapters are a bit wasted for me. No intention of updating network switches (again!) in the near future and, if I did, I would go for 10Gbe unless 5Gbe becomes more viable (I doubt).
