I believe this may have already been raised and clarified earlier. However, I am experiencing issues with the photo backup feature in the mobile app. The backup process is extremely slow or often does not occur at all, particularly when the mobile device is not on the same local network where the TNAS is configured.

Even when the mobile device and TNAS are on the same network, the photo backup does not consistently work as expected. In most cases, I have to manually open the app to initiate synchronization, and it takes a considerable amount of time just to complete the sync process before it begins uploading photos from the mobile device to the NAS.

In comparison, other synchronization solutions like "syncthing" handle this more efficiently—automatically syncing photos to the server as soon as they are created, regardless of whether the device is on a local or remote network, and without requiring manual intervention.

It would be helpful if the photo backup functionality could operate in a similar seamless and automated manner.

The initial backup may take a considerable amount of time for alignment and preparation. Additionally, extra processing is required during backups depending on various circumstances. We understand your anticipation for increased backup speeds and will strive to continuously optimize and enhance the application.

Which version of TNAS mobile are you currently using? We recommend upgrading to TNAS mobile 3.5 Beta to experience the backup feature, as this version has been optimized for the backup process.

Thank you for sharing the beta version of the mobile application. I will test it and provide feedback shortly. Currently I am using 3.4.xx build.

Could you please let me know if there is a dedicated post or channel for this beta app where the latest builds are published as they become available, leading up to the general availability (GA) release?

According to the current release schedule, the latest versions of the TNAS Mobile (mobile) and TNAS PC (desktop) software are usually released along with the official forum posts for the TOS system updates.
