File Explorer not working on Windows 11 PC

I have setup all the permission and password yet it still does not work. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have done all this and more and nothing recommended to me on the tech chat, email or forum has helped.

I have other NAS from other companies and it works with a user name and password with the windows update.
The only one that does not work is TNAS NAS.

The only thing that has worked was something I found online which may be compromising your PC security.

Its called "Enable insecure guest logons" and you have to go deep into the windows 11 to find it.

I don't know if this opens you up to hackers or what but this makes the shared folder work on the network again. Nothing else does.

You may want to pass this information to the developers if they are able to patch it a new firmware perhaps?

So to recap, Enable "insecure guest logons" and it works, Disable insecure guest logons and it breaks.

Maybe the Americans version of Windows 11 is slightly different than the Asian version of Windows 11? I don't know but this is what I have found in my situation.

If you find some setting that allows it to work without having to enable insecure guest logons please let me know.

Hi,
It is known that this situation usually occurs when the NAS and PC are on different network segments.
This applies to both Windows 11 and Windows 10.
