[Help] portainer update (new installation via Docker)

Post by lager »

Hello,

How do i update portainer? I downloaded the app from the terramaster app store Version 2.19.1. but within the app it tells me that a new version 2.33.7 is available. So how do i get that version? It's not in the app store.

I will probably have to install it via docker - is there a step-by-step guide?
NAS: Terramaster F2-220
Ram: 4 GB
Firmware: 5.1.145-00012
BIOS Version: 5.6.5

For compatibility and stability considerations, the version update speed of the official app store is slower than the community version. If you are familiar with the use of Docker containerization, you can follow the steps below for installation:
  • Uninstall the app store version.
  • Create a dedicated folder to store Docker data and ensure that your currently logged-in administrator account has read and write permissions for this folder.
  • Install Docker Manager from the app store, open the registry within the app, search for and download the portainer/portainer-ce:latest image, then go to the container page, click “Add,” and follow the guide step by step to deploy and start the container.
  • Access https://Your_TNAS_IP:port in your browser.
