[Help] More than 26 Drives?

Post by MKH »

Hello :-)

I am using a T12‑450 running OS 6.0.794‑01234 together with two DAS units, a D9‑320 and a D6‑320.
I am unable to populate the last slot of the D9 with a hard drive. This causes a disruption in my array.
My assumption is that the OS only supports 26 drives (sda–sdz).
With the current setup of 12 + 6 + 9 bays, the total is 27 drives.
Linux itself can handle more than 27 drives.
Is there a solution that allows all drives to be used?

The TOS system can support connecting more than 26 hard drives. When the number of hard drives connected to the system is less than 26, the hard drive device names will be displayed sequentially as sda to sdz. If the number of connected hard drives exceeds 26, the system will continue naming them in the format sdaa to sdaz.
