So I bought a 24 terrabyte hard drive and use a 16 ft type c 20gb per second cord.

It plain up refuses to connect using that one. But when I use a smaller type c it works.

Is the enclosure not able to user higher level cables?

After switching to a shorter cable, the device began operating normally. It is preliminarily determined that the issue lies with this 16-foot Type-C cable, which may have signal attenuation problems, resulting in the inability to properly recognize the D8 Hybrid device.
