[Help] NFS transfer slower with new NAS than old one

Post by SquarePeg »

Hi all

I have an F6-424 which I purchased last week, I removed all the drives from my F5-422 and put them into the new NAS, wiped them, added a new drive, made a brand-new pool and volume, using EXT4 as I was previously and tried restoring my media from my external hard drive. I am using NFS and the same settings but I am currently getting an average of 133 kB/s transfer speed where I was getting around 120 MB/s previously. Everything else is the same, the same cables, same OS (OpenSUSE Tumbleweed), the only things that have changed are the NAS, a new drive has been added and then new NAS is using TOS6.
Can anyone please help? At this rate it will take a few months to restore everything

Hello! Since you have recreated the storage pool and volume, the array is currently in a synchronization state. During this period, the system will prioritize allocating most disk I/O resources to the array synchronization task, which may affect the performance of data copy operations. It is recommended that you wait until the array synchronization process is fully completed before proceeding with subsequent data copy operations.
