i had problems with my nas i could not log into it it was frozen so i had to unplug the nas
it rebooted but said disk one had a warning so i took it out and placed a new drive in but it would not start the repair so i tried a update from 6.0.5 or there abouts to the latest one and ordered another new drive and it worked it started rebuilding unfortantly now i noticed that i cant see any of my files through windows and on the nas the folder appears empty

i remember somthing about file permission but took no notice as i had already updated my other nas and everything was ok so i am not sure if this has something to do with it or not

the space is still being used and the files must still be there as i have plex on my pc and it can still play the files i just cant see them in the folder anymore

if i try to write to the folder i get a message saying remove the write protection or use another disk

Please generate and download the log report in TOS > Technical Support > Issue Report, then send it to our technical support email ([email protected]). We will analyze it. Also, include the link to this post in the body of the email.

Have you tried checking if the permissions for the folder were affected after the update?
