[Help] TNAS mobile app crashes immediately when syncing the first photo

Posted: 16 Dec 2025, 02:30
by mdobryakov
Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the iOS mobile app photo backup feature.

The app starts the synchronization process and successfully scans all the photos in my library. However, as soon as it attempts to sync (upload) the very first photo, the application crashes immediately.

I was unable to attach the crash log file (an *.ips file, approximately 55 KB) directly to my post.

What is the best way for me to send this file to your iOS development team?

Thank you!

Hello, thank you for your feedback and the crash log you provided. Our development team will analyze it immediately.

To help us pinpoint the issue more accurately, please provide the following information:
· What is the TOS system version of your NAS device?
· Is the “iCloud Photos” feature enabled on your iPhone?
· Is the “Back up Live Photo videos” option enabled in TNAS mobile?

If “iCloud Photos” is enabled, we recommend temporarily disabling this feature and then retrying the backup to see if it resolves the crash.

Additionally, we recently released the TNAS mobile v3.5 beta version compatible with TOS 7, which includes several stability improvements. You can install and test it via the following link, which may resolve the issue you're experiencing: https://testflight.apple.com/join/wFWYABJS

We look forward to your test results, as they are crucial for us to resolve this issue. We will keep you updated on any progress immediately.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick response. Here is the information you requested:

* TOS system version of my NAS device: 6.0.749
* Is the “iCloud Photos” feature enabled on my iPhone? It's disabled for this iPhone (iCloud storage doesn't have enough space).
* Is the “Back up Live Photo videos” option enabled in TNAS mobile? Yes, this option is enabled.

Thank you.
