[Help] Creating directory and file transfer issues TNAS F423

Hi all,

I'm a new user of TNAS devices , used QNAP till now.
I use a Mac to connect to TNAS ( 2.5gps ethernet cabled connection) with a Raid 1 7200rpm data disks , and a 512GB NVME cache disk .

I have 2 issues :

1) Lately I suddenly started to have issues creating and deleting folders on my TNAS smb share.
If I create a new directory I cannot set the name, it is always named "untitled folder" and it is not writeable or readable for insufficient permissions. I can delete only using TNAS local terminal ( via ssh, or using webui ).
Tried several solutions without finding one. same share with Wndows PC no issues. Maybe latest Sequoia update introduced some issues ? I opened a Terramaster support ticket and no solution proposed yet.
UPDATE: with latest TNAS 6 update , initially the issue was there but after some hours it seems to work , will update on this

2) When transferring big files , that is the main activity that I do, transfer speed is great, but when it passes to the next file it pauses for like 10 seconds at 0 Kb/s and after that starts at full speed

any ideas or anyone with the same issue ?

S

Hi,

I already opened a ticket more than a month ago but still I don'0t have received any solution, only a statement that Terramaster is working on it. Is it a known bug ?
