[Solved] Duple Backup is not working with rsync but Rsync Backup is [SOLVED]

Hello,
I want to use a DiskStation in order to backup my F4-424. The Rsync backup works nicely (encrypted and non encrypted connection). However, it does not feature versioning.
So, I tried Duple Backup, because it features various methods of versioning. But it seems to have trouble to connect to the rsync service on the
DiskStation.
I'm not sure what Rsync Backup does right, but could this also be implemented to Duple Backup?
Cheers,
Stevie

Hello! Please install Duple Backup in TOS, select "File Server - Rsync," and connect to it just like setting up an rsync backup. Once connected, you can create a backup task.

Hello TMbuddy!
Thanks for getting back to me.
I actually wanted to do it the other way around: TNAS -> DiskStation. Therefore I wouldn't need the rsync server to be running on the TNAS.
However! I found the issue. Apparently the Duple Backup service wasn't running. I removed and re-installed the Duple Backup and now everything is working fine!

Thank you for your support of TerraMaster! Duple Backup is designed for backing up TNAS data to other servers. If you need to back up data from other servers to TNAS, we recommend using Centralized Backup.
If you have more backup requirements, you can also refer to this guide, which provides detailed information on various backup tools and their use cases.
