Hello.
Since reinstalling TOS, I have been experiencing problems with SMB transfer speeds and RAID synchronization.
Environment
・F4-424 Pro
・WDC WD80EAAZ-00BXBB0 (8TB) * 2
・ST8000DM004-2CX188 (8TB) * 1
・ST6000VN0033-2EE110 (6TB) * 1
・TRAID
・Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB
・Samsung MZVLB256HAHQ-00000 (256GB)
・TOS 6.0.694
・2.5GbE switching hub, PC, router
・bonding(Balance-alb)
I purchased the F4-424 Pro about two months ago and it was functioning normally.
TOS was installed on the HDD, and I was concerned about the constant operating noise, so two days ago I deleted and wiped TOS, RAID, storage pools, HDDs, etc., and initialized them, then added a 256GB NVMe and installed TOS on it.
Also, when creating the volume, I changed it from ext4 to Btrfs.
Yesterday, the TRAID synchronization completed, but the transfer speed was extremely slow (around 20MB/s). I attempted to reboot via the TOS WebUI, but the reboot did not occur, and the WebUI, SSH, and SMB ceased to respond.
I then held down the power button to force a shutdown.
Subsequently, the boot process took a significant amount of time, and after booting, the TRAID volume remained in synchronization mode.
When I checked /proc/mdstat via SSH, the resync speed was extremely slow (2500–3500 K/sec), and the remaining time was displayed as 37,000 minutes.
Has the RAID been damaged? Do I need to initialize and rebuild the RAID?
There seem to be no issues with SMART.
In addition, after resetting TOS, the WebUI's overall responsiveness has deteriorated.
When opening the storage or HyperCache items from the settings, the response disappears for several tens of seconds or I am logged out.
Also, when creating HyperCache, an error message appeared stating that it could not be created due to a memory-related issue (after reloading the page, it was created, but I deleted it and created it again).
I am using one BarraCuda incompatible SMR HDD, so this may be the cause, but it was working fine until a few days ago.
