Under normal circumstances, when connecting a device via SMB, there is no requirement to select a certificate. You need to verify whether the option to select a certificate stems from the configuration of another application rather than being a choice for mounting an SMB network drive. Additionally, you should confirm whether you have enabled any other services, such as a reverse proxy.

I haven't enabled any other services. Only SMB and SSH are enabled. I also have not install any other application recently, just Windows update.

Hello, please uncheck the option "Connect using different credentials" and try logging in with only the password of your domain account.

Hey, check out this guide titled "Configure the SMB Client to Require Encryption in Windows" — it might help you determine whether your Group Policy settings are correct or if you're missing the required policy templates (ADMX). Let me know if it matches your issue.

SMB signing
Starting with Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025, all outbound and inbound SMB connections are now required to be signed by default.
