[Help] smb.conf keeps reverting changes

Post by PaPaTheGMan »

There is an old post from Jan 2023 talking about smb.conf & afp.conf reverting to a default after reboot. A support person indicated that "This problem has been verified in our laboratory and has been solved on the system version of TOS5.1. It is suggested that you can upgrade the system to TOS5.1.". I have a F2-223 on TOS 6.0.648-00165 and it's happening to me with smb.conf. Apparently the change was reverted in the 6.0 upgrade or was never implemented. What can I do to set the default to my updated file going forward?

No similar issues were found in the latest TOS6 update.
Did you notice that smb.conf was reset after a specific upgrade/update?
Do you recall the TOS version before the upgrade/update?
If you upgraded from TOS5 or TOS6 beta to the official TOS6 release, the configuration needs to be reset.
Will smb.conf continue to exhibit similar issues after subsequent reboots?
