TOS6 Boot from SDD M.2

I have a T12-450 enclosure with 12 drives in Raid 5 with TOS version 6.0.577 and BIOS 5.13 ,and now I have added 2 M.2 SDDs that I would like to boot TOS from SDDs and not from HDDs.
What would be the correct way to boot TOS from the M.2s? I have read that I should take out the HDDs, make a backup of the configuration, install TOS on the SDDs and access the BIOS so that the first boot device is the SDD, and then put the HDDs back in.
Can someone please tell me if are the correct steps to follow without risk of losing Raid5 data ?

You can only select M.2 SSD when reinstalling TOS. You need to insert all hard drives when installing the system, otherwise your HDD will still have system data.
If you are prompted to format HDD drive please stop immediately, under normal circumstances will only be prompted to format your new hard drive.
Reinstall the system: viewtopic.php?t=423
