The problem started when my old NAS an F-422 runing lastest version of TOS 5.1 starded to give me some errors
For some months I had a sync in place to the new NAS but did not had the time to do the switch
One morning I decided to do the switch but things were not smooth at all
After strugeling for almost a week with my NAS who had the lastest version TOS 6.0577, the problem I encounterd were the samba pemissions, I had tried everything , even setting the unix permision to 777 accros all files, windows manages to create the file but soon after that it fails. I made the folder public with no success, I even loged in with admin account with no success, so as a last resort I have decided to install Windows server edition 2025 standard.
I have made raid one mirror of the Nvme Drives 2*2TB Samsung 980 PRO with heatsink (I had to trim the internal case so they can fit , but that is another story), just use the one without heatsink if you do not want to trim the internal surface of the top case.
The real problem was that I had driver hardware warnings in the event log.

I was very happy with may Terramaster NAS F422 who worked perfect for 4 years, if things change I will return to TOS 6.0 when samba will be fixed.
