Solved: D6-320 S.M.A.R.T data Passthrough [Accepted]

The biggest worry/let down with the D6-320 is that S.M.A.R.T data is not passed through to the host.
I know I am not the only one disanointed by this as it removes critical early warning features for disk failure.
Is there any possibility a firmware update could be provided to remedy this?

That's not really the case. In those cases where I find I can edit (few and far between it seems), it seems more like 24 seconds or until I move away from the subject. Then the edit function never comes back.
<edit> Or is this a very recent change </edit>

OK, confused. Just went to look at my most recent posts under USerID > Profile, as I have done many times, but THAT function has disappeared now. Obviously (?maybe?) from my previous which I edited, I could at that point make an edit, but I'm not convinced it applies every time in every thread. I'll have to wait 24 hrs to see for how long I can edit this one.
<Edit> at 4.5 hours. ok
<edit> at approx 17 hours ok, so call that a success

- (sorry for the hijack) and I found 'recent posts' again.

Sorry to miss your major question, I think our team will answer the un-answered questions, but obviously, they missed this one too.
I need to check with the team and come back to you soon.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I can confirm that after following the firmware update procedure with a windows machine and reconnecting the DAS to my server all of the smart data for my drives is now visible within Proxmox so I am very happy and also more likely to recommend or buy more of these devices.
I'd like to feed back to the team that I think it would be really helpful to provide this firmware update or a means to update the firmware more generally via your product support/downloads page. Ideally a more user friendly software package targeted at the average user.
I have seen a lot of people online not recommend this product because of this problem and it would be great to see the fix easily available

.
Thank you once again for your help.
