HI, I have a F8 SSD which I am trying to set up for use.
The connection on http://tnas.local gives the message "This connection is not secure. Logins here could be compromised".
I have read of some cases of account lock-outs with ransomware, so want to tread the safest path possible. I have installed the desktop Windows client, and assumed it would be possible to secure connect from there and lock down the NAS from there. But most of the options such as Applications and setting up SSH, actually try to go through the browser and give the same message about an unsecure connection.
How can I make a secure start while I test synchronisation simply between a client desktop on the local network and the F8?
Thanks,
The connection on http://tnas.local is not secure
Re: The connection on http://tnas.local is not secure
Because there is no specific CA certificate issued for the domain name "http://tnas.local", the browser will indicate that it is not secure, which is a normal phenomenon. If you wish to add a certificate for the local domain name, you can change the device name and then use this new domain name to apply for a new CA certificate.
