Shared Folders Missing after adding new HDD / Reboot

Post by neiloakley »

F4-223
TOS 5.1.145

2 x 4TB in TRAID
With power on, I inserted a new 8TB HDD in slot 3, and followed the instructions to add this to Storage Pool 1
Unit took 12 hours to syncrhonize.
I then increased the size of Volume 1 to MAX to utilise the new disk capacity.

I then noticed my shared folders on storage pool 1 are not visible, but they still show up as enabled with the correct user permissions in the Control Panel.

Control Panel also reports 121gb used on that volume, which is about right. So seems like the data is still there.

Where should I go next please?

Do you mean invisible after logging in to the browser? If you haven't checked the option to hide in the local area network, you can try going to the Shared Folder module in the Control Panel, clicking on the option in the upper right corner, and then selecting "Restore to Volume".

I mean they are invisible in both File Explorer and as shared folders in Control Panel even after 'restoring'.

I've also just noticed something - I set these up on Volume 3. (I had volume 2 and volume 3). Now, I have volume 1 and volume 3 after added a new HDD. So it seems TOS has renamed Volume 3 as Volume 1. Can it be renamed back?
