Clean initialized F8 SSD Plus.

During initial setup and creating an account, then authenticate with email already failed. I skipped verification and loaded TOS 6, checked settings and network all looked good, rebooted and email notifications are still not working



I am using the built in SMTP, so what can I do or check to get it working?

Literally nothing else is configured yet because this is a new setup.

Try searching the forum. This has been 'done' to the end.

Why couldn't you help by linking me to a solution instead of telling me off?

Seems to me the fist place you should look is the forum search. Users have already done the work for you, why should they do more? If you don't look, you will never learn.

This is an issue we've noticed and are in the process of troubleshooting and fixing.
You can try using a custom SMTP server to send emails.

This is an issue we've noticed and are in the process of troubleshooting and fixing.
You can try using a custom SMTP server to send emails.

Our technical team has thoroughly reviewed this section of the code and found no issues. Additionally, the email delivery failure only occurs in certain user environments. We suspect the problem may be related to network communication or authentication issues between some TNAS devices and the email server. We plan to change the email delivery method in the near future. Please be patient, and thank you for your understanding!

I’ve had the same issue since upgrading to TOS 6. As of 6.0.555 it still isn’t working and it’s nearly three months later.
