Hi everyone,

Brand new F2-423, two 20tb brand new IronWolf Pro drives, fresh set up using TRAID option.

Every time I drag and drop folders from Mac OSX (Sonoma 14.5) I end up getting this error, sometimes straight away sometimes while transferring.

Single files work no problem. It seems to be when transferring folders with folders in them as best as I can tell - but haven't tested with one folder with a lot of files in it so might happen there as well not sure.

Any ideas?

I have this problem too. Were you able to find out what's causing this to happen?

It looks like your macOS user doesn't have access to individual files in the copied file?
If you have enough space or a USB drive, you can try copying this part of the file to another space or USB drive and see if the same error message appears.
If you think this is a permissions issue on the F2-423, you can try adjusting permissions or checking and fixing possible volume file system errors: viewtopic.php?t=2575

I've noticed that after sitting up the F4-423, some hidden files that MacOS creates, called Thumbs.db, were suddenly visible in my folder structure. I have no idea why these files are suddenly no longer hidden.

It seems that when copying files over to the F4-423, MacOS doesn't want to copy these Thumbs.db files over due to a permissions issue. I have done a search for these Thumbs.db files and deleted them all. It appears to have solved the problem for me.
