D2-310 connection problems

Hi all

I have posted this in the Asustor forums as well but I am not getting very far.

Brand new D2-310 with x2 12 Tb Seagate Enterprise drives set up as single drives (no RAID/JBOD).

Used Win 11 to initialise and format each drive NTFS.

I have attached the DS-310 to the USB 3 ports on my Asustor AS5402T Nimbustor 2 Gen2 NAS (ADM fully updated) turned the DS on and used the reset procedure with the RAID selector in Single Disk mode but the NAS says no external drives attached.

Green lights all fine on the DS and it is seen properly on my Win 11 PC, and my Linux Laptop.

I have used a different USB-c to USB 3 lead but no difference.

Any ideas?

Hi, based on your description, the problem should be related to ASUS NAS. It could be unsupported, compatibility issue or usage issue.
When you insert a USB disk with NTFS file system format into ASUS NAS, is it accessible?
